Hector Navarro is a visionary leader, esports strategist, and advocate for tech-driven education, dedicated to empowering youth through gaming, STEM, and digital literacy. As the Founder and Chair of Brass City Gamers, Hector has been at the forefront of creating innovative programs that bridge the gap between esports, technology, and career development. His leadership has driven the organization’s growth, expanding after-school programs, community workshops, and STEM initiatives that provide students with valuable career-building experiences.

With a strong background in cybersecurity, IT, and digital education, Hector has spent years refining his expertise in technology infrastructure, strategic planning, and digital innovation. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his eight-year tenure as a Technical Analyst, specializing in IT systems, security, and operational efficiency. He currently works in IT at Pratt & Whitney, where he continues to apply his expertise in enterprise technology solutions and digital transformation. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he developed the discipline, leadership, and adaptability that now fuel his mission to transform education through gaming and technology.

Beyond esports and technology, Hector previously served as a Board of Education Commissioner for Waterbury Public Schools from September 2022 to December 2024 before resigning. During his tenure, he advocated for student resources, supported technology-driven learning initiatives, and contributed to educational policy development. Additionally, he serves as a Board Member at Connecticut Esports, working with industry leaders to expand esports initiatives and digital literacy programs across the region. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Hector is committed to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that students from all backgrounds have access to opportunities in technology, gaming, and education.
