Game/Event Rules:
- Game Settings: Game Type: 1v1 or 2v2 (depending on the format) Stock Count: 3 Stocks Time Limit: 7 minutes Handicap: Off Damage Ratio: 1.0x Items: Off Final Smash Meter: Off Spirits: Off Stage Hazards: Off
- Stage Selection: Starter Stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Pokémon Stadium 2, Smashville, Town and City Counterpick Stages: Yoshi's Story, Lylat Cruise, Kalos Pokémon League, small Battlefield Stage Striking: Players take turns removing stages from the starter list until one stage remains for the first match.
- Character Selection: Players select their characters for the first match through a double-blind pick, where they tell a referee or organizer their character choice simultaneously. After the first match, the losing player can counter-pick a different character, while the winning player must stay with their character.
- Match Procedure: Players start each match by performing a best-of-one Rock-Paper-Scissors or any other agreed-upon method to determine the starting player. Each match follows the selected stage from the stage selection process. The winner of the previous match bans two stages (unless it is the first match). The loser of the previous match picks the stage for the next match. Players play their matches using the selected characters and game settings. After each match, repeat the stage ban and pick process. Matches are best-of-three for early rounds and best-of-five for finals or top-level matches.
- Rules and Etiquette: Stalling, such as running away from an opponent without engaging, is prohibited. Excessive stalling underneath stages is not allowed. Players must not intentionally disrupt the game through freezing, pausing, or any other means. Coaching during matches is not permitted unless specified by the tournament organizers. Respectful behavior and sportsmanship are expected from all participants.
